What
You Get When I am Your Lawyer
You
get a lawyer who knows how to listen well.
You
get a lawyer who will prepare you for court from the first
moment we speak. I will tell you what you need to know before
you need to know it so that you are ready for trial and
ready to present yourself as a responsible person before
the court.
You
get a lawyer who is qualified by public service as an assistant
district attorney, an assistant attorney general and as
an inspector general. Judges, prosecutors, juries, witnesses
and police officers listen to me.
You
get a lawyer who will motivate you with my experience, education
and mostly, my common sense.
You
get a lawyer who knows the law and the rules. I have two
law degrees and I have taught law. I also have advanced
training through continuing legal education programs and
I have taught such programs as well.
You
get a lawyer who knows when to negotiate and when to fight.
You
get a lawyer who will listen to your concerns about legal
fees and help you structure a payment plan that is fair
to both of us.
What
You Do NOT Get When I am Your Lawyer
I
don't try to get clients by scaring people into hiring me.
You're probably scared enough already. It doesn't make a
lawyer any more effective if he is able to scare you even
more.
I
don't try to get clients by telling them that we are going
to go to war if they hire me. I will use whatever legal
skills and tactics I need to defend you. My goal is to get
you out of trouble while exposing you to the least amount
of risk.
I
don't try to get clients by telling them that I'm going
to get all the evidence against them thrown out of court
after speaking with them over the telephone for the first
time. Only an investigation is going to tell me the extent
of the evidence against you and whether some or all of it
is likely to be thrown out by the Court.
I
don't try to get clients by telling them how terrible other
lawyers are. I figure that when you talk to me, you'll figure
out that I'm someone you can trust to put on your best defense
Spend
a little time talking to me. I will listen and I will earn
your trust.
